The historic Maybert Bridge was eligible under the National Register of Historic Places. The bridge was built in 1895 and has a rich and colorful history. The bridge connected the historical mining towns of Washington and Maybert (The town of Maybert no longer exists) and it has far exceeded its useful life. The newbridge was federally funded under the Highway Bridge Program since it has a sufficiency rating of 5 and was classified as a structurally deficient (SD) and functionally obsolete (FO).
